Celebrties Love Tattoos

It is not really amazing to learn that many celebrities love tattoos , nor is it surprising that those who are in the public eye and in the media have quite a considerable influence on the general people’s fascination with tattoos. The stars have tattoos, so all of their fans want tattoos too. For celebrities, age is not a factor; older as well as the younger ones have them. We know all of these people-- but do we also know about what unique styles of artwork they have? One of America's most popular movie stars, Robert DeNiro, has made an appearance in movies, sporting numerous tattoos. Whether or not his fans realize that they are only accessories, and he uses Temporary Tattoos for his films. The fact is in real life Robert DeNiro has only one Real Tattoo, that of a black panther. Another actor who shows off many tattoos in his movies is Johnny Depp; all of his, however, are real. Bruce Willis also has a few tattoos; most notably the symbol of his movie "Die Hard."

Tattoos have also been in style with many noted musicians. Former teen idol Justin Timberlake has a guardian angel, and a few more. Rapper Eminem has more tattoos than countable, including his daughter's name and his own. Some sports celebrities also vouch for tattoos. Michael Jordan has his fraternity symbol tattooed above his chest, while Dennis Rodman is a virtual canvas of artwork. Not to be defeated, many female stars also show off various degrees of artwork. Young actress Drew Barrymore is essentially a canvas full of tattoos; it is believed that she designed them herself. Reese Witherspoon is more understated, wearing only one small star tattoo which is rarely visible. Pamela Anderson too has a variety of tattoos, the most notable being the word 'Mommy' on one finger, which reportedly used to read 'Tommy.' Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has five stars to represent each member of her family, her husband's initials, and the time-honored Jewish phrase 'I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine.' Some of today's supermodels who also sport tattoos are Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, and Stephanie Seymour. All of them use Tattoos as a temporary form of fashion accessories. Most supermodels who opt for tattoos show fewer and smaller designs than celebrities in other fields. While many celebrities have had tattoos for a very long time, the popularity of tattoos amongst stars has been ever-increasing, both in the number of celebrities who opt for them and the number of tattoos that they have.

A very few have only permanent tattoo; more and more are taking on a large number of different temporary tattoos like water transfer, Glitter, Crystal Tattoos. Out of these, crystal tattoos are the most popular amongst women, as it adds a dash of glamour to their personality. As celebrities show off their tattoos, and this is picked up by the media, it presents a growing influence for their fans, especially amongst the younger generation, who want to ape them. As with anything else that stars do in the public eye, their influence with tattoos helps this form of artwork become more prevalent, more popular, and more acceptable to most of the people.

Natural Way of Tattooing … Henna Tattoos !!

Henna powder & Henna (Mehandi) leaves are nature’s gift to mankind. It is a natural product having versatility of its usage for different things such as Tattooing, Hair Coloring, body & hair Conditioning Healing, Medical usage, Ayurvedic Usage etc. Just like its different uses, Henna is also known by different names in different parts of world such as Al-Khanna, Al-henna, Egyptian Privet, Henne , Jamaica Mignonette, Mehndi Mendee, Smooth Lawsonia.

Henna tattoos , also known as Mehndi, is another interesting way temporary tattooing. Coming from a south Asia, henna uses marks made by the stains of silver nitrate on the skin when exposed to ultraviolet light of Sun or any other source. Traditionally henna was drawn in different geometrical patterns on the hands, feet, and face, but modern henna is applied in any given shape or design anywhere on the body . Henna does not allow for a full range of colours but only shades of reds, oranges, browns, and blacks. This process of applying the tattoo and allowing it to absorb ultra-violet light of Sun, means that henna tattoos once done take minutes or even hours, not seconds to be ready, like other temporary tattoos (water transfer or sticker tattoos). However, coz of this extended finishing time, comes a long lasting & excellent result. Usually henna tattoos can take up to 10-15 days to fade from the skin. Sunscreen will act as a shield from the sun, making henna tattoo last longer. Using henna for many women in poor countries was a cheaper way of adorning herself and becoming exotic, to set herself apart from other people. The art of Henna tattooing has been practiced for thousands of years in the countries mentioned above but in the last 5-7 years there has been a flow of interest from Western countries too. It is now widely accepted as an art in self expression and uniqueness.

Temporary Tattoos in VOGUE !!

These days tattoos there are different ways of tattooing both permanent & temporary. Temporary Body tattoos look just like real tattooing. Temporary Tattoo designs to try before choosing an actual nice tattoo, for fun, for promotions or for your fancy dress party.

Temporary tattoos have become quite famous in such a short time as they are affordable, pain less & above all they can be removed any time & that part of your body is again ready for a sizzling hot new Tattoo!!Conventional Temporary tattoos, which were first made popular as inserts in regular bubble gums, were poor quality transfers, often resulted in hazy designs and could easily be washed or rubbed off from body. Modern temporary transfer body tattoos are made of non toxic & high quality ink and glue, and last much longer than conventional temporary tattoos. In this process, the body tattoo is applied to the outer surface of the skin and stays until such time as the image fades away itself (typically after 3-5 days) or is removed using alcohol or any such remover. While most temporary body tattoos are created commercially for promotions, advertising or as novelty items ( giveaways ) , the process of creating it has been adapted to the fine art of lithography as well.

Usually Temporary Body tattoos consist of five main elements: the front of the sheet of paper, the back of the sheet of paper, inks, glue and a protective plastic sheet over tattoo. The front of the sheet is covered with a special coating upon which the tattoo image is printed with special non toxic inks. A layer of special non toxic glue is then applied on top of the image. A thin, transparent plastic sheet is placed over the front of the sheet to protect the image and glue layer. The back of the sheet is left untreated and usually has a list of ingredients and/ or instructions to use printed on its backside.Water Transfer ( temporary ) tattoos are usually applied by removing the plastic sheet, placing the image face down against the skin and wetting the backing by putting water ( directly or indirectly ) thoroughly. The backing can then be carefully removed, leaving the image in place.

How to Apply Temporary Tattoos ?

These attractive transfer tattoos for different parts of your body are absolutely temporary & painless!Directions: Skin should be clean & free from oil, dust and make up.Apply on any part of your body.Warnings:Avoid using on sensitive & allergic skin. Don’t use tattoos too close to the eyes or any other sensitive parts on your body.Tattoo machines aren't always the best option! Don't prick at the tattoo! How to Apply Your Water Transfer Tattoos These decorative water transfer tattoos for your body are temporary, to suit the occasion, you want to flaunt your tattoos on! Determine a good spot (forearm or anywhere on body), somewhere that doesn't bend a lot.

To place the tattoo, please consider the tattoo’s size, design and purpose. Clean your skin(where you want to place the tattoo) thoroughly with soap and water (or alcohol), and dry off. It is extremely important the application area be clean, non greasy & air dry !! Skin patch where the tattoo is going to be placed must not be twisted or stretched. The more hairless the skin, the better. Shave/wax if necessary. Apply water, with the help of a washcloth onto tattoo backing and make sure that the entire design is covered...wait for 30-40 seconds. It is best to have your buddy apply the tattoo so it will be rightly positioned and also your skin is not twisted. Lift corner slightly to see if tattoo is getting transferred. Slide paper gently aside if it is transferred well. Start from a corner, peel half way, and then finish with the opposite corner. Rinse gently with warm water to remove the extra glue. Make sure not to twist or stretch your skin until the tattoo has set (at least ten minutes ). You may choose to follow the design as it is, or create your own thing by applying many different tattoos together. If you use any body lotions or creams, avoid applying them to the Tattoos, as it may come off accidentally. Tattoos can last between 2 days and 3 weeks, usually 4-8 days. This will depend on factors such as skin type, destination, and proper care. Handy Tips: Smaller tattoos are usually easier to maintain because there's lesser chance of it being damaged when you remove the tattoo backing paper! If you're very new to using body art, don't be scared of failing because everything needs practice. Let your tattoo air-dry before wearing anything on top of it, touching it, or bending. To remove...use baby oil/lotion, rub alcohol or masking tape.
